In June of 1940, the Master DK gave this the second stanza of The Great Invocation to us. The first stanza, given in 1936, was a power mantra invoking the Forces of Light. The second stanza was given to invoke the Forces of Life.

D.K. had indicated on several occasions that the world disciples had turned the mantras into emotionally tinged prayers and therefore had mitigated their impact. We say this particular mantra today with an attempt at a cleared intent and mentally willed effort to invoke the waiting potencies. This June Moon, this Festival, marks a climax to this high spiritual season.

We saw the Wesak Moon evidence: The Buddha opening the door between Shamballa and Hierarchy. We now see The Christ and The Buddha in closest cooperation opening the door between Hierarchy and Humanity. We have a very present opportunity through this "Open Door". We have also a host of other energies and agencies aiding our efforts. We have the potency of the energies of the constellation Gemini working to bring us to Soul and Personality fusion, and we have certain extra planetary Beings and agencies dedicated to humanity helping behind the scenes.

In his April/May, 1940 address on “The World Crisis From A Hierarchical Viewpoint” in Externalization of The Hierarchy P. 224 Master D. K. states, “There is however, a gap or hiatus upon the mental plane, for the minds of men are not functioning correctly. The disciples and world aspirants are not thinking with clarity, nor are they working in unity. They are evading issues or are thinking separatively or nationally or fanatically; they are not convinced of the potency of invocation or of prayer…” We see 63 years later that certain of these tendencies are still present and yet some progress has been made.

Today 48 groups are gathered in Findhorn, a synthesis effort of The New Group of World Servers. We have today this Los Angeles Intergroup effort, and the consistent service of all of you who year after year celebrate the festivals. Each of us, although on different Rays, from different walks of life, different continents perhaps, coming together in this incarnation to carry out our conjoint mission.

We have much help from Hierarchy. We evidence today the Science of Approach, and through this festival, The Science of Invocation and Evocation, The Science of Impression, and The Science of Applied Energy in the salvage work which we are to do. We are in a long chain of Intermediaries. We, The New Group of World Servers, play a mediating role between the Hierarchy and Humanity. We are to transduce energy from the 5th Kingdom to the 4th Kingdom, by down stepping/distributing so as to up step those we would serve.

Our planet today induces, evokes from us, a response. We know of the countless millions of souls crying out, seeking respite and help, praying in a myriad of fashions for deliverance from the thralldom of materialism that has taken control of planetary leadership. Today we must remember the "matrix" of Aid that has been given. We are not bereft.

The second stanza of The Great Invocation summons The Lords of Liberation. We know that there are 3 Lords operating through One. This great Lord can only be brought down to the mental plane, and can only be evoked through a mental willed effort with no emotion-tinged components.

We invoke The Rider on The White Horse, who is one that was like unto us. He is invoked by mantramic usage even if there is not a rigorous mental effort and has emotion intermixed. He is overshadowed by the great Avatar, the Lord of Liberation and thus ensues a series of triangular relationships at our behest. We have this: The Avatar of Synthesis working through The Coming One, The Rider on the White horse, who could be The Christ, or one of equal rank, working through The Master R, the Lord of Civilization.

We have The Avatar of Synthesis, The Christ, and The Masters of The Wisdom. We have The Christ; The Manu Who is The Lord of the First Ray, the Master M, and the Mahachohan who is the Lord of the Seventh Ray, the Master R. We also have the Christ, the Master M and a group of his senior Disciples. This is all known as The Doctrine of Avatars and is the keynote upon which these thoughts are comprised.

We, the NGWS, gain access to these potencies and this doctrine in only one way, and that is through meditation. We can only utilize these energies effectively by "creative meditation" and there can be no creative meditation until the antahkarana is in process of construction: personal, group and planetary.

The NGWS has as its mission world salvage. World salvage cannot occur until "self-salvage" has taken place and until, as D. K states in The Externalization of the Hierarchy P. 104 "The emphasis upon the work which serving groups must seek to develop is that of an organized, scientific activity." We know this activity to be our use of esoteric techniques and full utilization of the aforementioned sciences, applying energy to force.

We have a present opportunity— through the open door of The Christ and The Buddha and the downpour of divine spiritual energies "Love-will and Love-wisdom", in conjunction with Avataric Impression and our group Meditation— to invoke a response. We know that there is a thoughtform within the mass-consciousness of humanity demanding Divine-Intervention. We also know that there are 5 types of Intervention: Divine Embodiments, Natural cataclysm, Evocation of slumbering Entities, Emergence of inspired leadership, and The evocation of a Great Son of God.

Humanity is obsessed with the destructive kind of intervention. We must offer an Intervention in line with our work and highest calling. We can choose to be overshadowed. We can be The Group Avatar.

As we go through initiation we are aiding Humanity, the Aspirant, to become The Disciple. Humanity is to become The World Savior. We are to facilitate, as The NGWS, the fusion of the 4th kingdom into the 5th Kingdom, The Kingdom of God.

In Esoteric Astrology P.356 D.K. quotes from The Old Commentary "When the dual forces of the cosmic brothers (Gemini) become the energy of the one who rides towards the light (Sagittarius) then the fourth becomes the fifth. Humanity the link becomes the Hierarchy, the bestower of all good. Then all the Sons of God rejoice". We as aspirants and disciples working today have closed somewhat the mental gap. We have restored the "divine circulatory flow". We must now— with extreme mental clarity and maximum use of the Aid given— "stand with massed intent" with Hierarchy. For, in truth, we are the beginning of the Externalization of The Hierarchy, we are the Divine Intervention may we be overshadowed.
