Invocation
Pisces marks the end of the annual
cycle of the zodiac. The symbol of the fishes represents the Soul and
personality connected by the thread of life. Pisces, one of the seven dual
signs, is the sign of sacrifice—at once the sacrifice of the Soul in the process
of personality development during involution, and then, during evolution, the
sacrifice of the integrated personality for the Soul. Renunciation plays its
part as Pisces redeems through renunciation. We are all in this room at some
stage of renunciation of the personality on our way back to what we call in
abstract terms, Pure Light.
Being at the end of the annual cycle
we can’t help but be reminded in Pisces that we are passing out of the Piscean
Age, with its emphasis on authority and belief, and coming into the Aquarian age
that will be characterized by understanding and direct knowledge. In The
Externalization of the Hierarchy we are told that the activity of the forces
characteristic of these two signs produces a corresponding activity in the atoms
of our vehicles. We are on the verge of a new knowledge and the atoms of our
bodies are being tuned-up for reception.
As the Sun, from our point of view, moves among the other
heavenly bodies, each Solar month brings certain heightened accessibility to
distinct energies. Knowing which energy is most readily available for use,
understanding the ways in which that energy can be beneficial to humanity, and
learning how to employ it is part of our evolutionary process. Look forward to
the time when, as D.K. tells us, we will be taught to heal by color and to draw
energy out of the ether.
The curriculum exists: Nature of the
Soul, the Agni Yoga Series, the Secret Doctrine and the Books of Alice A Bailey
are available to all. In addition, there are disciples who have stepped-down the
Wisdom for use by those at all stages of development. Don’t be surprised when
browsing through your local book store some day to find titles like D.K. for
Dummies, or the new Covey book: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective
Esotericists. An early chapter in that book will surely be called, as in the
other Covey books, “Begin with the End in Mind.” That chapter will describe an
externalized Hierarchy and the appearance of Soul-controlled people on Earth in
everyday life and at all stages of that control.
I’ve used a bit of humor in
describing future possibilities with faith that the examples wouldn’t cause
hysteria and that we are a group of relatively integrated personalities and can
quickly turn our attention to the serious task of readying our instruments to be
receptive to Spiritual impression. Let’s do that.
