Path of Recognitions

1.) Recognition of the physical vehicle. Take a comfortable sitting position; spine upright without strain. Take a few slow quiet breaths, for quietude. Then say mentally:

    I, a unit of consciousness within the greater Life,
    Behold my body as a living whole.
    I am the life to these, my lives, and so resemble God.

2.) Recognition of the astral vehicle. By using imagination, attain emotional quiet; then, emotional detachment - they are not the same. Then say silently to yourself:

    Sensitive to forms and feeling and desire,
    This which I feel and That which I am, are not the same.
    Sometimes the tides would drown me -
    Yet I, the serene Observer, stand.

3.) Recognition of the mental vehicle. The mind is an instrument used by the Thinker. Differentiate between mind-substance, the thinking process, thoughtforms, and the Thinker. Say:

    I see thoughts come and go
    But I, the Thinker, am not this.
    I use the mind.
    I choose, reject, create
    Whatever forms I will.

4.) Coordination of these three bodies into one integrated mechanism. Say:

    I, the unit of consciousness,
    Think, and feel, and act,
    Yet I myself am One.

5.) Recognition of the Solar Angel and the alignment of the triple integrated mechanism with that Higher Self. Say:

    Midway I stand
    Between the Angel which is my Self
    And my triple form.

STAGE 2: VISUALIZATION

Visualize pure white light pouring down from the overshadowing Solar Angel, flooding the triple personality, stabilizing, purifying, directing it in service and guiding it upon the Path.

STAGE 3: MEDITATION

Meditate for 10 to 15 minutes upon the Seed Thought for the month.

STAGE 4: RECEPTION AND CONTAINMENT

While listening carefully with the inner ear, and mindful that the White Magician must channel through his own being whichever energies he uses in service, say aloud, as a deliberate act of group service, the mantram which the Great Ones also use -- THE GREAT INVOCATION.

From the point of light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men--
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the center which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth

STAGE 5: DISTRIBUTION

Again, as an act of group service, very softly sound the Sacred Word three times, breathing out into the day now beginning, the spiritual intent of the Soul.
