PRELIMINARY MEDITATION OUTLINE
To be used daily, at as early an hour in your normal waking day as can be wisely, considerately, and unobtrusively arranged.
Stages:
1.) Attain physical comfort and control, with spine upright, body quiet without tension, breathing easy and regular. Then deliberately forget about the physical vehicle.
2.) Proceed AS IF the emotional body were as still and lovely as a quiet pool on a windless day, its motionless water clearly reflecting the sky overhead, the surrounding trees and cool ferns. Then carry the attention on through the astral plane to the plane of mind.
3.) Lift the attention straightforth to the highest point possible in the world of thought, and keep it there -- held steady, poised, alert.
4.) While listening intently with the "inner ear", and visualizing the threefold personality as the willing, sensitive instrument of the Soul's expression, softly sound the Sacred Word aloud, three times.
5.) Meditation:
(a) Focus the mind upon the Seed Thought.
(b) Carry the thought steadily forward to deeper penetration and
understanding of its meaning.
6.) Say the Group Benediction:(1)
May the Holy Ones, Whose pupils we aspire to become, show us the light we seek; give us the strong aid of Their compassion and Their wisdom.
There is a peace that passeth understanding; it abides in the hearts of those who live in the eternal.
There is a power that maketh all things new; it lives and moves in those who know the Self as One.
May that peace brood over us, that power uplift us, till we stand where the ONE INITIATOR is invoked, till we see His Star shine forth.May the peace and blessing of the Holy Ones pour forth over the worlds.

7.) Silently, as the Soul, sound the Sacred Word three times into the world of men (remembering that the Soul's only organ of speech in the outer world, is a threefold personality).
